Summary

Lead all aspects of product marketing and business development for industrial fiber lasers, and adjacent products, relating to the additive manufacturing market segment, as measured by revenue and margin growth.

  • Inbound activities: collecting and summarizing market data, competitive products, and application trends, driving technology & product roadmaps, defining market and product requirements, championing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, providing revenue guidance, managing strategic key accounts and account funnel, overseeing project execution for strategic OEMs, and managing the overall profitability of products sold into additive manufacturing.
  • Outbound activities: identifying target customers and supporting strategic customer sales globally, developing corporate and business unit brand via multiple channels of communication, equipping sales with appropriate technical collateral, driving new product launches, and establishing global pricing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive multi-dimensional business strategy for the additive manufacturing market.
  • Drive the strategic sales process and account management for key customer accounts.
  • Proactively support the Global Sales force and customers with pricing, lead time, technical and promotional materials, and facilitate technical Q&A between engineering teams.
  • Coordinate all AM market analysis, competitive intelligence and product positioning strategies.
  • Establish product performance requirements, time-to-market milestones, and target costs. Drive NPI process as voice of the customer.
  • Support Sales, Operations, and Finance teams with short- and long-term forecasts for unit volume, product mix and revenue/margin outcomes.
  • Manage overall revenue growth and profitability for the AM business through mix/price management and performance-cost roadmaps.
  • Interact with executive management, company stakeholders, and senior management peers to report on the health of the AM business segment and to align strategic priorities with the resources to execute.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product development, manufacturing operations, sales, and/or marketing with increasing leadership and management responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of recent experience working in the additive manufacturing industry.
  • Technical degree in engineering, material science, physics, or similar discipline required
  • MBA preferred

nLIGHT is proud to offer comprehensive COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary and level based on qualifications, with a range of $140,000 to $180,000
